Research Assistant Internship Position

Description

        The internship position covers research in a variety of permaculture related topics and botanical classification. Interns will get familiar with sustainable gardening techniques, knowledge of different permaculture databases, experience in collecting and sharing plant information. Tasks can vary dependant on student major but may include: compiling botanical information for school database, researching various uses for plants/herbs, collecting educational articles and videos on sustainable living and organizing data for school website. Depending on the season interns may also get hands on experience in the demonstration garden identifying and documenting plants.

 

Qualifications

        Comfortability with internet searches and gathering data on google spreadsheet or excel is required. Having a passion for or an interest in sustainability and eco-conscious living is preferred. An ability to work on tasks alone as well as with others will help with different projects.
